An alert has been issued by police investigators in Washington, DC as they seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a man who is now wanted for an alleged sexual abuse incident involving underage victims on Wednesday, Nov. 30.

The alleged incident happened at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday near a house of worship in the 4500 block of Benning Road in Southeast, DC.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Youth and Family Services Division, Physical and Sexual Abuse Branch say that the wanted suspect engaged in “sexually suggestive conduct in the presence of minor victims, before fleeing the scene.

The alleged incident happened near the Christ Way Cathedral on Benning Road.

Police described the suspect as being a Black man who was wearing a dark jacket, dark pants, and tan boots at the time of the incident. He was caught on a nearby surveillance video before fleeing the scene, investigators noted.
